Electrical Diagram Software - A Simple Representation Of The Electrical Circuit
A circuit diagram is a pictorial representation of the physical electrical circuit, represented by various symbols and inter-connections. An electrical circuit diagram is also known as elementary diagram, or electrical schematic. The circuit diagram is a simplified representation of the physical electrical circuit, displaying the power and signal connections between the devices. The arrangement of the devices in the diagram does not represent the positions as in the physical circuit. Such a diagram is a simple representation of the circuit, to be understood by the viewer.
Electrical diagram software provides you with the facility to generate circuit diagrams, which are unlike the usual block diagrams that we usually find. The circuit diagram illustrates the interconnections between the symbolic electrical devices, displaying the physical circuit in a diagrammatic way. Circuit diagrams are generally used for representing a circuit, and provide the working understanding for the viewer.
Electrical diagram software is a tool that helps you represent electrical circuits, using the abstracts and the graphic symbols. It shows the electrical devices of the electrical circuit by symbols, each representing the electrical elements in the circuit. The layout may not have the same component positions as you have in the physical circuit, but conveys enough information to the viewer for its understanding. Electrical diagrams usually omit the details of the physical circuits, only showing the components in the circuit symbolically and the connections between them. There could be the legends written down for identification of the devices.
Electrical circuit diagrams were, till recently, being drawn manually, and now with the advent of electrical diagram software, diagrams can be automatically, created with the help of the library of information and symbols available within the software itself. The advent of computer technology has brought in specialised program languages, which not only facilitate the drawing of the electrical circuit diagrams, but also provide other features, such as, editing, listing of the bill of material, etc. The software would allow you to access the library of symbols and also add your own. With the availability of the software, complex electrical circuits can be drawn very easily, which could not be accomplished otherwise. Previously, links between the devices were simple crossing of lines, and the wire which crossed over without a connection, would form a semicircle over the line that it crossed. With the advent of electrical diagram software, computerised drafting has changed the conception. If two links meet to form a connection, the connection is shown by a small dot at the intersection. If there is no connection between the two, the line simply crosses over. However this can pose a problem. If the dot is too small or not present, the viewer may overlook a connection between the two. Electrical diagram software would have component data which are defined automatically as you edit the circuit diagram. The software would let you generate a structured list of electrical components, which you can edit, and add ordering information, price, supplier, etc. You have the option to sort the component list and group them as you want. The software would contain component library which would consist of all that you need to draw the electrical circuit diagram, as you clearly arrange the electrical components. If you do not find the symbol that you want, you can create one and store it in the library, and also re-organise the library completely the way you want. The software would also allow you to create new libraries. The software provides print view for you to adjust the size of the print that you want and its orientation.
